Notes

This week’s playlist started as a continuation of the previous week, but because of a particular high stress scenario at work, I was not able to particularly enjoy the music I was listening to, and also ended up defaulting to my binaural tools to hold my attention rather than music. 

When I did find time to listen, I think the lingering flavours still hold true, and also exceptions like anaiis who are able to hold court both of sonically and lyrically.

Beyond that, it has also been a challenge to keep my attention on things whilst on a calorie-cutting diet. Hunger is a distraction, and being able to eat your fill, or working while well-nourished does feel like a luxury that we should not take for granted. And all of a sudden, listening to Momoko Gil’s When Palestine Is Freeholds so much more weight and severity.
