Notes

Croak Dream by Puma Blue was an album that was recommended through Spotify and what greeted me was a lot of innovative and slight avant arrangements and songwriting. I’m always a fan and it definitely made me sit up and take notice. Another find that consumed me this past week was discovering Art School Girlfriend. Perhaps I was just in the right mood to appreciate their style of song craft, with smatterings of electronic and dance music, while towing the line of indie folk, it somehow balances melancholia and euphoria all at the same time. 

Beyond that, plenty of the other artists featured in this week’s playlist also add to the overall melancholic mood of the playlist that somehow describes the prelude to the Lunar New Year festivities.
