I originally wanted to blitz through the notes for this week’s playlist and get it out of the way, but I was confronted with a memory that I embarked on this playlist after being recommended to Infinity Knives by Rudi after our hang the previous Saturday, and that memory is that I was so impressed by the insouciance, venom and righteous anger in the lyrics and delivery of both Infinity Knives and billy woods that I figured I needed to give the playlist another pass to remember why I embarked on this week’s listening journey. So, on a morning jog, I put this playlist on instead of my usual techno or house DJs, and wrapped myself in a blanket of words that didn’t necessarily make me feel any better, but more aware and challenge to care, rather than approach the impending doom with indifference.
